Access to be Beach
We would like to be clear about one thing: roads in Costa Rica are tough but doable in most cases. Do not expect USA or Europe Highways. Most roads have only 2 lanes and are unmarked, which makes it tough to drive at night and when it´s raining. That being said, many people tourists drive and are fine with it.

Notes on Playa Ventanas:
Playa Ventanas is an extraordinary beach located in Costa Ballena, Costa Rica.
The word Ventanas translates to “Window”, which happens to be the perfect name for this beach as it has amazing caves that connect the beach to the open ocean; it totally gives it the look of great big windows.
If you are visiting this beach, make sure to find out about the tides. If you wish to see the windows and actually walk thru them, you need to visit during low tides.
Playa Ventanas is normally very secluded which makes it even more special. It is a nice beach to swim and snorkel and just spend a nice day playing around.
How to get to Playa Ventanas.
There is a dirt road that takes you from the Costanera to the beach (you will find a small sign pointing to Playa Ventanas, however, keep in mind to ask any local person if you feel a little lost, they will point you to the right direction, no problem!). When you drive across the road you will find a house that happens to be located right off the beach, the owners will charge you about $2 to watch your car. Then you have to walk a short walk across towards the beach.
